How to generate leads

When you have engagement on social media, your blogs, webinars, and in-person events, it’s great, but it won’t generate leads.

A potential customer is someone who has provided you with some type of contact information that allows you to nurture them and turn them into a potential customer and then a buyer.

Here are some tips on how to convert engagement to leads.

Share content from your website

When you get engagement on different platforms, such as a question on Facebook or a discussion in a forum, share content with them from your website. This will entice them to provide you with more information, such as their email address and perhaps their name.

Prove your worth

Offer exclusive content to your fans on social media. If you create blocked or partially blocked content on a landing page on your site, this is a great way to provide value to your audience and move them to your email list. When creating this private content, create a special landing page for each platform and place the link on your profile and in your introduction message.

Create Lead Magnets

Develop multiple lead magnets that you can promote where your audience engages on the topic you are engaging with. So if someone is discussing topic A, a lead magnet should be mentioned for topic A. Each platform should offer a main lead magnet that will appeal to that group.

Make an offer

Once you get certain types of participation, make them an offer based on your type of participation. Are they advocates for the brand, attendees at events, or contributors to discussions? Are they loyal fans, customers or volunteers? For example, if you have a social media group and some members of that group often help others, they could consider themselves volunteers.

Make more offers

The truth is that the more offers and opportunities you give your audience to end up on your list, the better. Place private content via in-content links to expand a point on the topic of a blog post. Add more closed topics via popup or slide on every blog post page and page of your website.

Use the functions of the social platform

Each social platform has different features that allow you to add more offers, links to landing pages, examples of your work, proof of your knowledge, or a sample of your friends and commitment. Use those functions. Complete all profiles completely using all the opportunities each platform offers to allow you to move people to your site. If you can link to your site, link to a special landing page.

Finally, be sure to participate by using lots of videos, images, and content that showcases your value and expertise. Make lots of offers and provide lots of opportunities through lead magnets, content updates, links in the content, etc. This allows you to collect email addresses and build your email list.
