Being healthy before you get pregnant leads to a healthier pregnancy and baby

I have found that many teenage girls are picky and moody eater and I include myself in this category. But once they start learning to cook, mom’s crazy old recipe has an interesting flavor if the young lady cooks it herself. Some women start eating all the vegetables and fruits they once hated as soon as they get pregnant. This leads to an interesting fact that if young women can cook their own food in a healthy way and start consuming it, they can be in a healthy state even before they get pregnant. I don’t know to what extent the idea is true, but being healthy at the time of getting pregnant is very essential to have a baby according to experts in the field of health.

It’s not that eating healthy food is enough to conceive, but rather that you need to take a number of steps to be healthy before giving birth to a healthy baby, since it’s obvious that 1 in 33 babies born in the US have some type of birth defect that can be fatal sometimes in the first year of the child’s birth. As it is evident that healthy mothers have healthy babies, women are less likely to have various problems in pregnancy such as miscarriage, premature delivery, GD (gestational diabetes). Babies are also not vulnerable to premature birth, stillbirth or low birth weight.

PCH (Pre-Conception Health): Let’s first understand about preconception health how by virtue of nature, femininity unfolds with patience and is ready to transform for the new role with all the necessary sacrifices. PCH emphasizes screening for disease before pregnancy and promotes medical care for women of childbearing age 18-44. This feat improves their health and attends to the elements that could influence their pregnancies in the future.

· Increase folic acid in the diet: Studies revealed that women need to take vitamin B throughout their pregnancy and at least once a month before pregnancy, as this vitamin helps prevent massive birth defects related to the spine and brain in babies. Dark green leafy vegetables are external sources of folic acid. Fortified whole grains and cereals and citrus fruits are also good sources of this prenatal vitamin.

· Balance your BMI: Obese women tend to have a higher risk of pregnancy complications, such as type 2 diabetes, heart problems, and some types of cancer. Similarly, underweight people are also prone to serious problems during pregnancy. It is important to maintain your BMI (body mass index) before planning a pregnancy. Regular exercise and eating healthy foods can help keep your BMI in place.

· Quitting alcohol, tobacco and drugs: The abuse of alcohol, smoke and drugs can make your pregnancy disastrous. It is recommended to leave these clothes long before conception, as they apparently cause birth defects in the child, and often cause intrauterine deaths as well. Get help to get out of these clothes and have a healthy baby.

· Oral health is important too: People may wonder about the relationship between pregnancy and oral health. However, your oral health status says a lot about your overall health, as the inconsistency in your hormones during pregnancy causes bleeding and swollen gums. Therefore, it is important to continue to monitor oral health before and during pregnancy.

This care is supposed to continue even after delivery, since you need to feed the baby and staying healthy is the key to healthy and abundant breast milk. Since maintaining healthy habits spans a long time from before pregnancy to after delivery, staying healthy should become a lifelong habit. It’s just not important to stay healthy for your baby, but it is essential to stay healthy for yourself!
