Determinism and the meaning of life

The principle of determinism is that as a consequence of the interaction of previously existing casualties, the present unfolds as its effect. In other words, the present is always the sum of the past and the future the sum of the unfolding present. Determinism can thus be used to reduce human existence to its smallest parts, particles that produce atoms, thus removing the boundary that has separated the existence of life from the reality on which it is based. Determinism has also created centuries of debate on the question of whether free will exists, but later in this article, we will look at the concept of the meaning of life in deterministic terms, coupled with evolution, and why the universe as an independent object. With his cold eloquence, the existence of the meaning of life is eliminated, even though he is capable of generating it later.

We can produce with our minds a giant leap where, as an effect of the big bang, life exists in its contemporary form. Perhaps one day there will be an artificial intelligence that can tell the entire causal story that led to the emergence of the earth and can explain in the realm of atoms how life eventually came into being and led through a natural path to its own existence. , and being able from there, to prophesy the entire future that will take place, including the influence of how knowledge of the future will causally shape the emerging future. But without that AI, even the most brilliant scientist could only give, at most, crude representations of here and there, and laws that have been present during these events. For the conscious mind of a human, the complexity of his body is unknown to him, he cannot observe all the neurons that actively produce the representation of the environment, he does not understand everything that can be understood, but he observes small fragments here and there. in the semantic content that is given to it. And in this narrow vision, he hopes to understand, by externally observing the internal events of his being at the neurological level, that he does or does not have free will.

By affirming that behind every consequence there is a cause, he assumes that, therefore, it is evident that limited free will cannot exist within the limits of his humanity, and he affirms that obstinacy cannot be part of a cosmos dictated by the laws of the cause and effect. In fact, life has no underlying meaning for existence, because life is only an effect, which belongs to the natural properties of the cosmos. For the cosmos, the existence of life on Earth does not make sense, since the cosmos itself is not perceived as a living entity, but in affirming such a statement, we must affirm that life does not exist, because for the cosmos not to exist. is alive, it cannot exist. being life that originates in the cosmos itself. But it is evident that because we are alive, the cosmos has evolved on Earth to the level of this sophisticated form of consciousness that we ourselves are. To say otherwise, we would have to separate ourselves from the cosmos and, therefore, from the matter and energy that make us up. It would be a reductive step backwards to say that voluntariness cannot exist at a level where consciousness exists. It would also be a reductive step backwards to say that meaning cannot exist at the level of consciousness, even though we know from our experience that there is nothing in the representational realm that is contentless.

Instead, we are capable of projecting meanings into our own lives, into our actions, living in the experience that the body constantly produces, giving instructions where that stream of experience is headed, and making the given meanings manifest in us. And we are capable of molding in the realm in which we exist the content so that it is in accordance with our own nature, molding it so that it is in correlation with our own image, because at the limits of human consciousness exists the realm of the possibility of create realities. and the ability to share them to be lived by others who also have their time to be.
