How to Play Bakugan for Parents

Learn to play Bakugan now! It is easy! Here you will find the basic information you need so that you and your children can enjoy Bakugan.

Before the battle:

Two to four players can play at the same time. Before starting, each player must select a deck of a minimum of three Bakugan Brawlers and three cards to use in the game. You are not limited to using three, but each game must have the same number of cards and fighters.

Bakugan Battle Fighters:

Each player’s fighters must lock themselves in a ball, this is called Sphere Mode. When rolling on the metal card, if you hit the card in the right place, it will open in battle mode. When the Battle Brawler is in battle mode, you will see that it is G-Power. If an opponent’s battle fighter lands on the card your fighter is sitting on, they will go into battle and the battle fighter with the highest G-Power rating wins the battle. The increase in G-power on the card your fighter lands on will determine whether your fighter’s G-power will decrease or increase in that battle.

Bakugan Cards

Each card must be face down so that no player knows the capacity of the card they are using. There are four types of cards and they are normal cards, character cards, command cards, and skill cards. All cards are metallic accepted for skill cards. Metal cards are the ones that are placed on the battlefield and are the only cards that can make a Bakugan Battle Brawler open for battle.

Each metal card has a G power boost rating. When a card is in battle, there may be a command at the bottom of the card that affects the battle. This G-power boost is on the left side of the card. The momentum will be determined by the color of your fighter who lands on the card.

Each card has an HSO on the bottom right of the card. This is the Holo Sector Point that represents the number of points you earn if you capture this card.

Bakugan Battle Area

If you don’t have a battlefield, that’s fine. The game begins with each player placing a card face down on the battlefield on the side closest to their opponent. If there are only two players in the game, each player must lay down a second card to form the battlefield. So basically, if there are two players before you can throw a Bakugan Brawler onto the field, you will have four cards on the field forming a rectangle.

Trigger point

Before you can start the battle, each player must take the remaining cards they have in hand and measure the distance from their opponents card that they placed closest to you. This becomes your shooting point for the rest of the game.

Bakugan Battle Brawling Time!

Each player takes turns from their firing point and no player may skip a firing turn if they have Bakugan Brawlers in hand. The youngest player shoots his ball first.

Win the game

The battle ends once there are no more Bakugan left to play or all cards have been won on the battlefield. The winner is determined by adding up the HSP points for each card the player has won.

Players who have earned their opponent’s Bakugan get an additional 100 HSP points to add to their score along with 100 HSP points from the Bakugan they still have standing.
