Along Highway 27 is the wonderful town of Monatuk Beach, which is ideal for those making their way up the East Coast. There are many great places to stay on Montauk Beach, and it’s hard to choose between them. Here are some recommendations from a road warrior, ranging from inexpensive campgrounds to high-end resort-style accommodations.
The panoramic view. The most expensive option listed here, with a starting room rate of $ 695 (at the time of writing). This magnificent hotel offers its own private beach and is conveniently located on the lush hillside. The service is impeccable and each room offers a full list of amenities. I highly recommend the Panoramic for honeymooners.
Montauk Manor. With a much more reasonable rate of $ 150 per night, this hotel offers everything you’d expect from a mid-range option. Lately I have some negative comments regarding the service, although I have never had a problem (unlike the Panoramic, I can afford to stay here more often!). There are excellent ocean views, which is really what you are paying for here. Highly recommended.
Royal Atlantic Beach Resort Hotel. The location is ideal for someone who wants to walk into downtown and the historic districts. Right along the coast, like the previous hotels, the Royal is nothing to write home about … it resembles a nursing home, although it is an inexpensive option, with easy access to the beach.
These are the three places I recommend to clients when visiting Montauk Beach. Note that all offer ocean views, with varying levels of service and accommodations.
