Why is buying raw land in such high demand?

Why does the demand for the purchase of raw land increase year after year?

Could it be that people are looking for a way to mark a special place on this Earth to call their own? Or maybe it’s finding that rewarding experience of living off the land and sifting the land you hold between your fingers.

But for Daniela Catzik it means something more. Sitting on the side of a hill in Arizona, the view leaves the Oakland, California resident with a feeling of “total loneliness.”

It’s a strong emotion that comes from owning a good chunk of American land, something that connects you to the settlers and pioneers of the past. It is the legacy that will leave your loved ones full of memories they will cherish for years to come.

“I feel like a long-awaited void has finally been filled,” he said. “I had a feeling of complete satisfaction after buying that piece of virgin land, like I could finally exhale and feel satisfied that I had finally found my home.”

Catzik is one of many Californians who have finally realized their lifelong dreams of buying land in rural America, often at prices much lower than in California.

“People want to get out of the cities. They want to get away from the crime, the pollution, the traffic and the jams that they call normal.” We think they want to get away from what keeps them from seeing the twinkling stars in the evening sky. They want to recover the simplicity of their youthful years.

Informed consumers are now buying land for a variety of reasons. Some of those reasons are for investment purposes, recreation (ie RV, camping), hunting, or simply to have a legacy of memories to pass on to loved ones.

Another strong motivator is to “go off the grid” and cut off the need for electricity, water, etc. People are turning to alternative energy like solar power and satellite phones. They are even buying land that does not have a water well. They are choosing to receive water instead.

Experts say that while buying land in a quiet rural setting may be a dream, it can also have huge earning potential.

Compared to California prices, Arizona land can often be cheaper by comparison. With owner financing options that don’t require large down payments or crazy collateral demands, it makes raw land ownership affordable for consumers. We have seen a high demand for land in Arizona and Colorado, and prices have increased accordingly. Buying land in any of those areas would be a good investment.

For all the reasons listed above, raw land ownership is beneficial to you and your stock portfolio. With the fluctuations of the stock market and the deflation of our US dollar, investing on your own land is the safest investment you can make.
