It’s hard to beat genuine Italian leather, and the Leather Italia range is exquisitely beautiful to look at and soft and warm to snuggle into. Here we are reviewing the Dupin Pecan, Yuma and Dalton leather furniture ranges.
Leather Italia Duplin Pecan Collection
The Duplin Pecan range is made in a beautiful soft pecan brown leather, designed in a traditional style with Bombay rolled arms outlined with hand made dome head studs. The luxurious back cushions have been hand-stitched for strength, and the overall appearance of each piece is one of elegant yet sumptuous comfort.
However, it’s one thing to look comfortable, but how does it really feel? Indeed, the chair, loveseat, and loveseat are exceptionally comfortable, thanks in no small part to the soft genuine leather that covers each piece, and also to the padding and memory foam used in the cushions. Many leather chairs feel cold and slightly hard due to the inherent stiffness of the leather used, but not the Leather Italia Duplin Pecan collection.
The double pillow seats are very comfortable to sit on and are positioned at just the right angle for maximum comfort. With some sofas you feel like you are too far back to be comfortable, but these are perfect. It also does not fold too much in the cushions, neither in the seat nor in the backrest. It’s easy to stand up with the Pecan collection without having to push from the arms.
The love seat measures 46″ high, 39″ high and 41.5″ deep. The loveseat measures 68″ wide, 39″ high and 42″ deep, while the sofa has the same dimensions as the loveseat, but 90 ” wide. Each is outfitted with solid wood turned legs. Also included in the collection is a push-back recliner with super easy action. It is 40 inches wide, 42 inches high, and 41 inches deep. Used with the ottoman, it offers you the ultimate in reclining relaxation.
The Yuma Collection
The Leather Italia Yuma collection is made from high quality dark brown Italian leather, again in a traditional style with rolled arms. Each piece measures 37″ tall and 39″ deep, with the chair and sofa measuring 47″ and 86″ wide respectively. The leather is dark, and perhaps not so suitable for a modern room with bright decor, although there does not appear to be any issues with quality.
The construction is solid, although it was obviously not possible to see what was under the upholstery. The seat and back of each piece are made of high-density foam covered with padding and soft leather. There doesn’t seem to be a difference in comfort between the Yuma and Pecan collections. This collection also comes with a loveseat and ottoman.
The Leather Italia Dalton Collection
The Dalton Collection is available in genuine tobacco-stained leather said to cover a frame that exceeds industry standards; however, this cannot be confirmed by simply examining the exterior. It certainly feels sturdy enough and there is no evidence to contradict these claims. The back and seat cushions are padded and contain a layer of memory foam to increase comfort levels.
The seat and back consist of fixed cushions with contrasting stitching, and the arms are shaped like contemporary flat pillow arms. This contemporary style of furniture is suitable for any modern home. It certainly looks gorgeous, and it’s arguably the best of the three reviewed here.
In addition to the chair and sofa, the Italia Dalton leather collection also includes a loveseat, recliner, and ottoman to rest your legs after a hard day. Other than the ottoman, each is 38″ tall and the same depth. The loveseat is 67″ wide and the sofa is 90″. The chair and recliner are 44″ wide, the latter is also 39″ “high and deep.
Summary
These three Leather Italia home furnishings collections are solidly constructed and covered in beautiful Italian leather in different shades of brown. They are quite heavy, which in furniture is an indication of solid wood construction. No fault was found with construction or comfort and the leather appeared to be of high quality and was a consistent color.
The back and seat cushions were very comfortable, likely reflecting the quality of the high-density foam core, padding, and memory foam used in its construction. For many people, it’s the cushions that make the sofa, and you can’t fault Leather Italia furniture in this regard. Overall, an excellent buy for the price.
