It has miles and miles of beautiful long stretches of white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The relative proximity to the equator also makes the temperatures very attractive throughout the year. Imagine sipping the cocktail while sunbathing on the beach…?
Cultural Sites and Attractions
The Mayan civilization is a well known historical civilization and was very advanced for its time period. They left behind all sorts of interesting historical sites and temples that make for great sightseeing opportunities as part of your Belize vacation package. Be sure to include palaces, temples, and other ceremonial centers on your list.
Inside
If you’re done with all the sightseeing and might want to take a break from your diving and beach activities, consider heading inland. The forests, rivers and caves have dazzled visitors for many years. Take time to hike through the forest, where you’ll see a wide variety of wildlife, and especially some interesting and colorful bird species. This is just what you need to spice up your Belize vacation package.
Considering all these things, it is quite surprising that Belize is not at the top of many travelers’ lists of places to visit. On second thought, maybe that’s a good thing. This mere fact has contributed to the idea that many parts of the country have not yet been affected by the commercial influence found on other islands in the world.
