How Criss Cross Poker is played
What makes Criss Cross Poker unique is that there are two ways to win with one hand. The object of this poker table game is to have a winning five-card poker hand that pays out according to a poker leaderboard payout table. The dealer does not play. A standard deck of 52 cards is used. Before the game begins, players must first make two equal-sized ante bets, one on the via betting circle and one in the down betting circle An optional 5 card bonus bets that country is also available based on the total poker ranking in the 5-card community hand.
The dealer deals each player two hole cards face down and places five community cards face down in a cross pattern. Three horizontal and three vertical. Depending on the value of the player’s hole cards, the following action takes place:
- The player can make a via bet 1X to 3X the ante or fold the hand.
- The distributor exposes the two outside cards in the horizontal row of the cross.
- The player can make a down bet 1X to 3X the ante or fold the hand.
- The dealer then exposes the two outside cards in the vertical column.
- Then the player must make a medium bet 1X to 3X the fold ante.
After the middle card is exposed, players use their hole cards to make
two poker hands of five cards, one horizontal and one vertical. The intermediate bet is paid according to the ranking of the hands crossed and face down according to the following pay table:

Strategy and House Edge
This is the recommended strategy:
cross bet
Fold if your hole cards are not of the same suit, if they are not paired and the highest card is 2-5. If you have a suited jack-queen or any pair, make the 3X raise. With all other cards, make the 1X bet.
bet down – The same applies to the down hand. You have already seen the two cards crossed that can help you with your betting options.
average bet – Now you have seen crazy community cards from the deck. If you made at least one 3X bet, don’t fold.
The house edge is calculated to be approximately 4.3% and 3.5% for the optional bonus bet.
