Limousine companies are the ones that employ a large number of chauffeurs. And, the main responsibility of a chauffeur is to get people safely to their destination. However, the job of a driver is not limited to this only. They need to possess some interpersonal skills, good personality, punctuality, tactical skills, and many others.

Here is a list of dos and don’ts that are very essential for all limousine drivers.

• Always maintain the confidentiality of each client. All conversations with clients must be kept confidential.

• Open and close the limousine doors for customers.

• In the event that your cell phone battery dies, contact your limo company immediately.

• Always check in 15 minutes early at the required location.

• When your clients are inside or outside the club, it is your responsibility to clean the vehicle before their arrival.

• Ask the limo company questions before you leave and stay in touch with management at all times.

• Make sure the vehicle is always clean inside and out and in safe operating condition before you leave.

• If problems arise between you and the clients during the trip, inform the limo company before informing the police.

• Always be prepared for emergency situations. So you should always carry some essentials like pens, paper, flashlight, first aid kit, batteries, blankets, cleaning supplies, and maps.

• Sometimes when you work overtime, you are responsible for collecting the payments.

• If you have famous clients then don’t ask for their signatures and sell them to others.

• Do not eat or sit in the back of a limousine with customers.

• Never leave limousines unattended.

• Don’t forget to call your customers on the way and tell them about your locations.

• Do not bring anyone up front with you without your clients’ permission.

• Smoking inside the limousine is dangerous. Therefore, please do not smoke inside the vehicle while transporting your customers.

• Under no circumstances are you allowed to run the limousine three miles off the road without your clients’ permission.

• Never use the limousine for your personal use.

• Do not supplement more than one person as ‘in charge’ during a trip.
