From the kitchen to the bathroom

In today’s economy, many people are turning to their grandmothers’ beauty secrets. Secrets dating back generations about beauty remedies. These homemade wonders are what fuel many home based businesses. These remedies are traveling by word of mouth among friends of friends of friends and, in most cases, have been proven to be true. I myself have forays into homemade bath and body products, mostly handmade bar soap. With this experience, I can provide a luxury hand and body wash that will give the most expensive companies a run for their money.

With the cost of everything rising, it’s no wonder so many people are turning to more organic and homemade items. With the cost of making 10 bars of soap, say five dollars, a soap maker could make more than 500% of that return. With each bar selling for about $2.50 a bar, multiplied by ten, then that person would earn twenty-five dollars out of five dollars. Not bad if you ask me. What these kitchen wonders have that the standard one does not have is the craftsmanship put into it. Every soap maker I have listed pours their heart and soul into every bar. Colors and ingredients are hand selected to combine the most beautiful and luxurious bar ever produced. Customers of these artisans know that they are receiving a quality organic product made especially for them and not a commercially produced “beauty bar.”

Another homemade beauty product that is becoming just as popular is hand and body lotions. This item is also a careful potion of most of the skin softening oils and butters known to man. With ingredients such as Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil and Aloe Vera; It’s no wonder why so many people turn to household products. When someone dabbles in home beauty, the possibilities are endless, as is the income, whether it’s just a side hobby or for those with a successful business.

I’d much rather trust a family member or friend when it comes to product reviews than an online survey. This way I know I’m not being lied to or false information is being provided just to upsell. All in all, the beauty and home bath business is closer to home than you think. There are millions of people doing it and the artisan community is the most helpful I have ever seen. No judgment on moral character or anything, just the same people with a common interest and want to get the best out of it. With that, I don’t see anything wrong.
