How Hubpages ranks high on Google and makes money for you

Finding a way to get a high page rank on Google is difficult at the best of times. It usually requires on-page and off-page SEO techniques like keyword placement, tech stuff like H1 and H2 tags and whatnot. Often you have to hire an SEO company to get page rank.

An interesting change has taken place at Google. They have noticed that social networking sites are popular. In fact, some Social Networks receive more visits per month than Google. As a result of this, Big G has been giving pages on these sites a high “organic” page placement.

Eye-tracking tests by Google and others show that people look at and click on links to sites that get high placement much more than ads.

One social network that G loves is Hubpages.

Hubpages is a social network where people come to write articles about practically anything that is moral and legal. They can be about internet marketing, cats, dogs, cars, planes, boats, or dating, whatever. As long as it’s good content, you can put it on Hubpages and there’s a great chance that people will come and read it.

Another really cool thing about hub pages is that they allow you (in fact, encourage you) to monetize your pages. That means you can make money with Google AdWords, eBay, or Amazon. Actually, with a little skill, you can monetize your pages in many ways, for example Clickbank or Commission Junction among a few. They even pay you to share some of the ads they put on your pages. How cool is that?

On top of all that, you can have links to your sites and drive traffic to them. And you can also have RSS feeds. Talk about a Swiss Army knife…

You need to study Hubpages a bit before making a Hubpage. My first page I submitted was rejected because it was more of an introduction than a content page. I corrected it and they let me post it. You also need to socialize with others and build a loyal following or your pages will drop in Hubpages (and Google) rankings and you will get less traffic and less money. But that’s just common sense. However, it is easy to overlook and forget about it.

I have not yet studied how MSN and Yahoo! They rank pages on Hubpages, but if they don’t rank highly on their search engines, they will because social media is what gets the most traffic. That is why the term Web 2.0 has arisen. It is the new use of the Internet and how people communicate with each other.

If you want your web pages to rank highly, make money doing it, meet new friends, and have fun doing it, you need to check out and start using hub pages.
