Important points when optimizing the title tag of your website

In today’s world, having a high traffic website is equal to having a big store in the real world. It can bring you business, fame, money, etc. Without much effort. Although it’s easy to say, developing a high-traffic website takes a lot of work. In this article, I tell one of the important factors that you cannot overlook when optimizing your website. It is the title tag, one of the most important parts of your website that decides the search result rank of your website on major search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc. Therefore, it is very important to optimize your title tag to get better search results on Google.

Let’s look at common mistakes in title tag optimization. Common mistakes in website title optimization are:

1. Use the company name instead of specific keywords

2. Stuffing keywords in the title

3. Use irrelevant keywords

Using the company name in the title is a common mistake found on many websites. I don’t understand the real interest in using the name of the website in the title tag instead of the main keywords they are targeting. It’s a big webmaster mistake and can ruin your website’s ranking in Google search results. Another mistake I should point out is keyword stuffing in the title. It is a kind of over-optimization. By reading the title tag itself, we can understand that you optimized that website for search engine spiders and not for users. Google hates optimization and it can result in lower search rankings. The use of irrelevant keywords in the title tag is also a negative factor in website optimization. The title tag must be relevant to the content of the page.

So what are the important points to remember when optimizing a website? For me, the most important points when optimizing a title tag are:

1. Choose the right keyword for the title

2. Assignment of keywords in the title

3. Better use of available space

4. Checking the relevance of the title tag with the content

You should always use correct keywords in the title. Your title tag should be meaningful and add value to users. There would be no keyword stuffing in the title. A best title should not exceed the character limit of 70 characters. This is because the major search engines do not read any characters after this character limit. So there is no need to write more characters in it. Also, your page title should be one hundred percent relevant to the content on the page.
