Time Warner VS Comcast?

It puzzles me why does Time Warner Roadrunner continue to aggressively advertise when the name is about to change to Comcast? In case you haven’t heard that Time Warner Roadrunner is merging with Comcast. So you wonder why they would keep spending money on a brand that is about to change. If the business is looking to cut costs, this would be a great area to study. There is no reason to announce a disappearing name.

I am happy that they are merging and switching to Comcast. Hope they make changes to repair downtime. Roadrunner is great and super fast when it works. But God help you if it comes down. You call them and ask a litany of questions and they will tell you that it will be 2-3 days before a technician can fix it. It’s very frustrating. unacceptable. What are you supposed to do in the meantime?

Your answer is to get a ‘commercial’ roadrunner service that is 2-3 times higher in price. If you had phone service through them, you would be down and have to wait without phone service for 2-3 days.

This is one of the reasons why I am not getting multiple services through one provider. These days, they want you to get roadrunner, phone, cable and alarm monitoring through Roadrunner. Imagine if your service fails. You have no phone, no internet, no television, no alarm. You’re in serious trouble as Roadrunner takes the laid-back attitude that a technician will be there in 2-3 days.

It is obvious that Time Warner Roadrunner has very few technicians. I was talking to a technician about the upcoming change to Comcast. He hoped things would change because he and his family are equally frustrated with long downtimes.
